The competition at NRW Trophy concluded Sunday with the Men’s Free Skating. Alexander Majorov of Sweden skated to the gold medal in the Men`s event at NRW Trophy and Germany’s Paul FENTZ claimed the silver medal.

Alexander MAJOROV touched the ice at his opening quadruple toeloop and struggeled on his triple Axel but fighted until the end to hold his first place. his powerful free skating included beautiful level four spins. He scored 145.41 points which were added up to 228,84 points overall. Paul FENTZ was on fire in his free skating to music by Pink Floyd. He opened his free skating very powerful and completed a triple Axel and finally the quadruple toeloop, but lost a bit of his power in the middle of his routine. He struggled on his triple Axel, but he really starts to fight and tried the Axel again in the end of his program. His routine included three level four spins and he remained second with 199,77 points. After a a long time with injuries Romain Ponsart of France put out the second best free skating and moved up from seventh to third. He told us, that he worked a lot on the jumps in the last time, hwhen he started practicing again and will now work on the spins and the performance as well. Peter Liebers came in fourth (195.50 points) and Valtter VIRTANEN finished fifth (180.79 points)
